Fascia: What Is It, & What Are Its Roles In Physical Interconnectedness And The Mind-Body Connection?

Human Body Fascia
Human Body, Fascia

What is fascia?  Many have heard of plantar fasciitis (inflammation of foot fascia), myofascial pain, or simply fascia pain, but what exactly is this important connective tissue throughout our body?  Marjorie Brook of Brook Seminars explains in this Comfy Blog interview with Greg Wood.

In the 2-part video below, Marjorie discusses what part fascia can play in the mind-body connection, including with such conditions as Fibromyalgia, Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, and emotions such as fear and depression.  Useful metaphors throughout, as well as an audience participation exercise to demonstrate the interconnectedness of fascia throughout the body, help make her presentation very informative while simple to understand.
